Ultimate

Ultimate

Mortal Kombat Ultimate is a compilation of two Kombat Packs and the Aftermath storytelling. The add-on costs significantly, and it’s nothing but cosmic.

Aftermath is the first-of-a-kind extension in the Mortal Kombat series. That means three extra game hours, three unique playable characters, and three thematic skin packs.

Mortal enemies Liu Kang and Shang Tsung face each other in the final battle. But before, we are surprised to see them cooperating. It appears that Liu Kang cannot influence the fate of the Universe without Kronika’s crown he crashed earlier in the battle. After a persuasive speech, the Fire God accepts he has no other chance. He jumps in the past with two occasional allies and the sorcerer ahead, not believing him but having no motive to interrupt either.

Game players got long-desired characters with a unique set of highly detailed moves. Wind God Fujin unites the biggest fans of combos and fortune seekers who like tapping buttons at random. Four-armed Shiva shows her muscular strength, landing on her opponent’s head from high above and beating them deep in the ground. And the dream battle you can’t miss: the legendary shooter RoboCop breaks into Mortal Kombat after titanium Terminator T-800.

Terminator is a guest from Kombat Pack 1. His fighting style reminds of James Voorhees from MKX, but with a brutal temper natural to his prototype. The charismatic villain warlock from the Aftermath enters the game along with fair-minded shaman Nightwolf, graceful Sindel at the same time taking her merciless hunter side out of the shadows. Eccentric Spawn contrasts with Joker’s wheelchair punch, jack-in-the-box, and Batman toy with a gun in the mouth. Joker actually reminds us that we must not take the game made for fun too seriously.

Kombat Pack 2 adds Mileena, Rain, and Rambo voiced by Stallone. They’ve got an interesting look, with Mileena clutching her fangs in a mortal grab on the opponent’s neck.

The Mortal Kombat 11 roster is full of legends and fresh feral blood on anyone’s taste. The NetherRealm has proved it can surprise us with fatalities never seen before even after long years of history.
